She is beginning to find her voice and the baby talking is starting. I love it! She is such a good baby right now and this experience is better than I expected. Here is one of her latest pictures.

When the baby starts to crawl we want the floors and carpets to be clean. Its not like we didn’t care about them before we had her, but now a clean floor has added importance. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could have our carpets cleaned every week to make sure the little one is moving about on a semi-sanitary floor? That isn’t going to happen though because carpet cleaners aren’t cheap and aren’t really all that good for the life of the carpet.

We could make sure we run the vacuum everyday, but with a baby in the house we have less time to do things like that. Making better use of our time is hard enough without fitting more vacuum time in.

I’m thinking about getting a Roomba, but I don’t know which one is right for us and I don’t know if they are really worth it. I thought this would be a simple purchase, “I’ll take a Roomba, please.” Not so fast! They have Roombas, Scoobas and Dirt Dogs or something like that and several models of each. Each model has different features and I don’t have a clear understanding of how the feature descriptions relate to what I need/want it to do.

I just want the thing to go from room to room and vacuum. How am I supposed to know if a virtual wall or remote control is necessary? What I would like to know is will the unit that does 4 rooms on one charge mean it will only do those 4 rooms or will it eventually do the whole house and charge up in between. Shoot, I still want to know if it will come close to cleaning as good as our Kenmore upright.

With all the time spent figuring this out, guess what I could be doing? That’s right, I could be vacuuming!

Now that we’ve talked about spit up, what about control? No, I’m not talking about having control of the baby or anything like that. I’m wondering when she is going to get control of herself.

You know how infants sort of wiggle their hands around all the time? I’m wondering when this will stop and she will gain control of her hands. Even though she is only two months old, I think she is getting closer and closer. Sometimes when I lean in for my kisses she seams to hit me in the head. She does it so much, it seems like something she is doing on purpose. And I’m not doing anything to give her a reason to hit me so don’t even think about it!

Anyway, how old was your child or children when they started to control those cute little hands? Maybe I should enjoy this time while I have it since she will soon be into everything, but I’m curious.

Is there a difference between throw up and spit up? Some would say so, but I don’t really get that. I think if it is coming up it is coming up. Either way there is going to be something to wipe or clean up.

Pooh has progressed to the throw/spit up stage and being the first-time daddy I am, I think she is precious when she does this too. There seems to be a pattern to it though; at least we can predict when it is coming. What normally happens is a nice burp followed by the throw/spit up about 5-10 seconds later. She seems happy before and happy after so that is another positive if there are any.

Since we are rookie parents, we are naturally concerned about nourishing food coming up instead of staying down. I don’t think it is enough to make a substantial difference, but it is something to be concerned about.

So, tell me. How long did your child go through this stage?

Food and drink is very crucial to mothers-to-be and nursing mothers. My wife is constantly paying attention to what she eats and how it impacts our daughter (Pooh). With so many foods on the market containing artificial this and synthetic that, we have to be careful so Pooh gets a good/healthy start.

It you are concerned with the little one in your belly or the one you are nursing Glow Mama has just the drink for you. Keeping hydrated and staying away from the bad stuff is very important and Glow Mama may just fit the bill for you. According to the site and testimonials, this drink is refreshing and almost addictive - actually the addictive part will undoubtedly be something that will turn my wife off. :D

Glow Mama is endorsed by the American Pregnancy Association and includes the following ingredients: Filtered water, kiwi juice concentrate, white grape juice concentrate, cane juice concentrate, dietary fiber, calcium lactate, natural flavor, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), niacinamide (Vitamin B3), ferrous fumarate (iron), pyridoxine hydrochoride (Vitamin B6), cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) and folic acid. Kiwi seems to be the key here.

One tiny kiwi packs twice the vitamin C of an orange, twice the vitamin E of an avocado and 20% more potassium than a banana.

It has more fiber than a serving of bran flakes and is a good source of calcium, iron and folic acid.

In fact, in a recent study by Dr Lachance of Rutgers University, kiwis were actually given the grand title of “the most nutrient dense fruit in the world”

If you’ve heard of this drink or actually tried it, let me know what you think.
